Warframe is heading to the Tau System (finally!), but first we need to gather some fuel. Epoch Operation: Taubound is a community event that isn't coming back, so if you want everything, now is the time. This event runs from October 15th to November 17th, 2026. Let's get into it!
1. Getting Started
If you have finished Vor's Prize, you are all set. Eris is open to you for the event, and the normal Star Chart and Junction requirements are lifted. The operation should show up in your World State window.
NOTE: There is also a separate Prologue to Tau quest in your Codex. It is a permanent addition and isn't needed to take part in the operation, so you can do it at your leisure.
2. How the operation works
Praghasa, the Sentient Mothership from The New War, needs fuel to open a path to Tau, and that fuel is a new resource called Moonflesh. You get it on Eris in two ways.
- Kill Infested on Eris. Infested enemies (Maggots don't count!) have a chance to drop 2 Moonflesh each, or 3 each on Steel Path (SP). I was yielding about 54 to 72 on normal mode, with 96 to 117 on SP. This gives me about a 50% increase drop rate, so if you have SP as an option, run it. Nekros and anything else that normally boosts drop rates made no difference to how many Moonflesh were obtained, so it literally is just killing all of the things.
- Operation Alerts. Each Alert pays 50 Moonflesh on completion, with 75 on SP. I've only seen up to three Alerts at once, which refresh about every 30 minutes. They are located only on Eris and are Exterminate, Mobile Defense, Survival, and Hive missions. Most bang for your buck - run Survival on SP. It gave me the most.

Hand your Moonflesh to Praghasa in her special Relay on Eris. She also has daily login messages and short narrative updates for the length of the event, so visit her before it ends to catch them all!

As usual with operations, there's a progress bar. As Infested are slain on Eris, the Contegorus Greaves unlock at 30%, the Pauldrons at 60%, and the Chest Plate at 90%.
Community progress
Bonus tip: don't skip the Alerts. Finishing one of them has a reward that is the bulk of the run, even in SP.
3. Rewards

Getting every event-exclusive item once takes around 4,175 Moonflesh, and the items specific to this event take 2,575.
