Companions

These furry buddies can be your best friend when it comes to assisting you in battle. When they are downed in combat, they act like any other ally and need a revive. Unlike sentinels, if they die and you die, reviving yourself doesn't bring them back in the mission. Each companion comes with a few mods specific to their breed, therefore my descriptions of each breed pertain to having those mods on that companion. If you are one who prefers the fuzzy types, it is highly recommended to invest in a Nutrio Incubator Upgrade Segment. You can obtain one from the internal market for 175 platinum or get the blueprint from the Tenno Lab for 15,000 credits.

Adarza kavat

The Adarza kavat is the more offensive kavat of the two types.  The mod Cat's Eye can help increase your crit chance for enemies, while the Reflect mod does exactly as it sounds - reflect damage back to the enemy.  If built well, you can take it out Boss hunting for some wicked crits on the various baddies.

Kavats are a weird acquisition.  You need 10 kavat genetic codes and the kavat incubator segment.

Cost:
    • -kavat genetic codes
      • -10 codes needed
        • -free on derelict missions in Deimos system, as long as you scan them
        • -5 platinum for a single code
        • -50 platinum for all 10 codes
    • -kavat incubator upgrade segment
      • -175 platinum for a fully built segment
      • -15,000 credits for the blueprint from the Tenno Lab in the dojo
      • -free drops from Hyekka Masters
    • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

    Mods:

Pros: Can help you out with some crit chance and amplifying damage back to enemies.  Remember to build top to bottom, left to right for optimum building.

Cons: Pretty much a squishy companion off the bat.  Forma a few times for better survivability.  The Cat's Eye mod is pretty short lived.  It's great when it activates, but don't depend on it being a game changer.

    Smeeta kavat

The Smeeta kavat is probably a go-to companion later on in the game, mostly due to it's mod Charm.  It helps you gather rare resources if they have already dropped.  For example, Argon crystals.  If you find one, chances are you will get an additional one when picked up.  Same goes for anything of the sort, even kavat genetic codes and affinity!

Kavats are a weird acquisition.  You need 10 kavat genetic codes and the kavat incubator segment.

    Cost:
      • -kavat genetic codes
        • -10 codes needed
          • -free on derelict missions in Deimos system, as long as you scan them
          • -5 platinum for a single code
          • -50 platinum for all 10 codes
      • -kavat incubator upgrade segment
        • -175 platinum for a fully built segment
        • -15,000 credits for the blueprint from the Tenno Lab in the dojo
        • -free drops from Hyekka Masters
      • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

      Mods:

Pros: Nice additional loot gathering.  The Mischief mod helps increase the survivability, but not by much. You have about a 50/50 shot in getting either a Smeeta or an Adarza when incubating.

Cons: Pretty squishy when compared to kubrows.  They do seem quicker in speed, but that doesn't show for much when you are getting overwhelmed by enemies.  Build for survivability (took me 5 formas)  Don't utilize both Charm and Mischief at the same time since the precepts are split 50/50.  Better to go for a full 100 for Charm to happen, even for the non-loot related bonus.

      Vasca kavat

The Vasca kavat is the latest addition to the furry companions.  This kavat can be utilized 2 different ways: keep you alive or keep itself alive.  This comes in handy when doing the harder types of missions, especially when the enemies are close to level 100.

Kavats are a weird acquisition.  You need 10 kavat genetic codes and the kavat incubator segment.  This type of kavat is a bit more complicated: need to take a kavat out on the Plains of Eidolon at night, get it bit/infected by a roaming Vasca kavat, take it back to your orbiter and make a genetic imprint, rinse and repeat.  In total, you need 2 genetic imprints (can be the same kavat or 2 different types) when you incubate the kavat.  As of right now, if you choose to incubate 1 Vasca kavat imprint and 1 other type of kavat imprint, you have 50/50 of getting a Vasca kavat.  The end result provides different options of cosmetic appearance.

      Cost:
        • -kavat genetic codes
          • -10 codes needed
            • -free on derelict missions, as long as you scan them
            • -5 platinum for a single code
            • -50 platinum for all 10 codes
        • -kavat incubator upgrade segment
          • -175 platinum for a fully built segment
          • -15,000 credits for the blueprint from the Tenno Lab in the dojo
          • -free drops from Hyekka Masters
        • -1 or 2 imprints of a Vasca kavat
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: Great for keeping you alive or itself alive, depending on which mod you use.  100% chance of getting a Vasca kavat when incubating 2 Vasca imprints.  This drops down to 50% chance of getting a Vasca kavat when utilizing only 1 Vasca imprint, but the cosmetic appearance will be different.

Cons: Just like all others, you really should pick one or the other type of mods that come with it.  Draining Bite does an okay job at restoring the kavat's health.  Transfusion is kind of like an infinite revive buddy.  If you choose to bring both, I highly recommend having Draining Bite before Transfusion.  I seem to have better overall results this way.

        Chesa kubrow

This type of kubrow use to do a lot of things before a rework.  As of right now, this companion does nothing it was suppose to do and is pretty useless for anything.  Originally, it would retrieve plant extracts, Ayatan sculptures, Syndicate medallions, even Ayatan stars.  Hopefully it will be reverted back to how it was originally, but as of right now, there are better options available.

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: Can desecrate a body for additional loot, but it's iffy when it decides to activate this.  Still not a bad idea to get one to your liking and hope for a rework.

Cons: Doesn't do what it was originally suppose to do.  The desecrate option is better with Nekros, Smeeta kavat, or a Sahasa kubrow.  At least you will be getting more things from those other options.

        Helminth Charger

This kubrow mutation can be obtained by draining the cyst on your warframe when doing a kubrow incubation.  Being that this is the only companion that has four specific mods, it is very impressive on the battlefield.  Tied with top damage with the Sunika kubrow, you can't go wrong with dumping a few formas into it.  Tack on damage dealing mods along with these four and you'll be happy you decided to drain the cyst.  There is no way of sharing imprints of these since it is utilizing the cyst.  Good luck with the rng!

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -need to have a Helminth cyst on your warframe in order to infect the incubation process

        Mods:

Pros: Can dish out some serious damage and then some while fighting enemies.  Pretty useful in all types of situations, unless you are doing a stealth mission.  It will forge ahead and murder everyone.

Cons: Can be difficult to control when to do something at times.  Remember to build top to bottom, left to right.  Placing a mod in the wrong spot can make or break the usefulness of this companion.

        Huras kubrow

Well known for the stealth capability, the Huras kubrow is one to find if furry companions are your thing.  With the two mods that come with it, you can practice your stealth scanning without too much of a problem.  This does have a larger radius for the stealth to activate when compared to the Shade sentinel.  Great for use in all types of missions where stealth is the key.  Seems to be a bit harder to obtain a Huras kubrow.  If you struggle to get one, perhaps finding imprints of one will help you.  Imprints can be purchased from other players.

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: Great for stealth missions, with a larger range than the Shade sentinel.  The Hunt mod helps with a more offensive tactic, but not very effective with the amount of damage it can deal out.  Consider building for better survivability than damage output.

Cons: Seems to not be high on the rng table when randomly breeding kubrow eggs in the incubator.  If you absolutely need one, for MR fodder or to keep, asking for imprints is a viable option.  The Hunt mod seems to be a hit or miss when activated, so don't become discouraged if it doesn't work when you want it to.

        Raksa kubrow

This is probably the most protection focused kubrow out there.  The two mods that come with it can seriously help you out when you need protection or anything to do with shields.  Great to use for hijack missions or even high level survival missions, this kubrow is probably a go-to choice depending on what you need.  Easy to obtain a Raksa kubrow, either by incubating a kubrow egg and taking a chance on the rng OR you can purchase prints from breeders.

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: If you need shields, this kubrow has you covered.  Great timing for replenishing them as well as the Howl mod to help keep enemies off while you replenish yourself.  Great to build along with protection/defense mods.

Cons: Just like all other furry companions, it can be downed and die if not revived fast enough.  Highly suggest forma'ing a few times to get great survivability for higher levels.

        Sahasa kubrow

This is a kubrow that is focused on getting you some lower end materials, credits, or health/energy once in a blue moon.  The mods that come with it are okay when it comes to utilization for farming things, just don't expect to become overabundant with what it digs up.  Not a strong fighter like the Helminth, but can still hold it's ground when needed.  Easy to obtain a Sahasa kubrow, either by incubating a kubrow egg and taking a chance on the rng OR you can purchase prints from breeders.

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: If you need some lower end materials for building items in the foundry, this can help you gain a little bit more.  You really need to max out the Dig mod to reap the rewards.

Cons: You need to be out of combat for the Dig to happen, as well as having 0 alerted mobs nearby.  You can look at the Sahasa kubrow more as a provider for things that you need now such as health, energy, and ammo.  If you don't need anything like that, there is a small chance it can dig up something else like a mod, but don't count on it all the time.

        Sunika kubrow

This is probably one of the more aggressive types of Kubrows.  The mods that come with it are pretty legit when it comes to dishing out the damage needed for high level enemies.  When placed alongside some mecha and hunter mods, this kubrow really outdoes itself when needed.  Easy to obtain a Sunika kubrow, either by incubating a kubrow egg and taking a chance on the rng OR you can purchase prints from breeders.

        Cost:
        • -free if you find a kubrow egg and incubate it
        • -10 platinum for a kubrow egg from the internal market
        • -trade for imprints for platinum from other players

        Mods:

Pros: Can take down some higher level opponents without much hassle.  Probably one, if not the best furry companions, for taking down single targets with ease.

Cons: Just like all companions, this won't feel like a true warrior buddy until you have forma'd a few times.  The beginning can be pretty brutal, so keep in mind that it takes at least 2 forma's until you see a big enough difference.

        Sentinels

The hovering companions that can be decorated either plain as hell or pretty elaborate are sentinels.  These guys are like the furry companions, only instead of needing a revive when downed, they just die.  There are some mods to help bring them back to "living" status, but rezzing yourself after you have failed to win an engagement brings them back as well.  Each sentinel use to come with it's own predefined attack mod, but ever since update 24.0, these mods have been replaced by the Assault Mode mod.  I have included these mod pics for my own reasons, but don't feel lied to if you don't have them.

        Carrier

This sentinel is a pretty well-rounded companion that helps with your looting desires.  Currently, it is one of four sentinels that have a prime version.  If you like running weapons that run out of ammo fast, this is your new friend.  I personally adore the Lenz, but the ammo for it goes by in a hurry.  Once I got the Carrier accompanying me on my outings, I have yet to run into that problem again.  If you love opening the various loot crates/boxes, getting the Looter mod can help you out with it!  To complete your looting spree, equipping Khora's Venari (a kavat that comes with the Khora warframe) with the Scavenge mod and you are good to go.

        Cost:
        • -100,00 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        • -Prime version parts can be traded from trade chat, Warframe.Market, or as a drop reward from relic cracking
        Mods:

Pros:  Easy to acquire the base Carrier model.  If you are wanting the prime version, you most likely have to pray to the rng gods or just purchase from another player.  The carrier prime hasn't been seen in a void relic rotation for some time.  Seems to have a decent survivability in higher missions, without much building for the survivability.

Cons:  If you are use to speed clearing zones of enemies and moving on, the Looter mod can take some time opening the passing crates.  In general, it is quick on activating when a crate is nearby, but sometimes it feels a bit sluggish.  Keep in mind the range for it to target a crate for opening.

        Dethcube

This sentinel tried my patience for a good bit of time.  Currently, it is one of four sentinels that have a prime version.  If you have an energy issue, this guy can help you out but you will have to invest some time and energy into it.  The reason I say that is because in order to get it to provide the energy, you need 75k standing with Cephalon Simaris in order to get the Energy Generator mod (see below).  This gets enhanced further if you have an Arcane Energize equipped on your Warframe, because it triggers it for other party members.

        Cost:
        • -100,00 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        Mods:

        Arcane Energize

Pros:  If you get it built for energy distribution, this sucker is great.  I have a few Warframes that require a LOT of energy and this little cube delivers.  When playing with others, that Arcane Energize makes it a whole lot better for everyone.  You could probably build it so that it is just a "regen" hub with other mods that replenish health, etc.

Cons:  Honestly, until you get Energy Generator, this is not a super useful sentinel.  The Vaporize mod just doesn't dish out the damage like you would like.  There are other companions that could do what this sentinel does, only better....until you get the Energy Generator mod.  You will have to forma this a few times to get it on a useful level.

        Diriga

This little sucker can really surprise the pants off anyone. The only place to acquire this little beast is on the internal market for some credits or plat.  If you are looking for a sentinel that can snipe from a distance or cover your butt in close proximity, this is your buddy.  It's pretty responsive in everything, so bringing it on Sorties is pretty legit.

        Cost:
        • -100,00 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        Mods:

Pros:  If built well, this sucker can pick off enemies from a good distance as well as electrocuting nearby hostiles.  It will also shoot out detector beams on spy missions, or any mission for that matter.  Since it is electricity dealing from the get go, adding any other mod to the Vulklok creates a combo for firing, such as corrosive damage.

Cons:  Sometimes it seems to not want to attack at all until you are engaged in combat.  If you are wanting it to kind of pick off distant enemies, you gotta check your mod flow in the Diriga itself.  Comes with 4 precept polarities.  To get an effective build, you need to forma a few times.

        Djinn

This sentinel tried my patience for a good bit of time.  From what I've experienced, this sentinel doesn't offer the best survivabilty for itself - but it can revive your butt, die, then revive itself. It has a few interesting perks for mods when it comes to fighting enemies, so build to your liking. From using this sentinel in arbitrations, it will die, but after 90 seconds it comes back. Since you cannot revive furry companions, this is a great alternative. Also, using the Gazal Machete in conjunction with this will yield some pretty nice damage from it.

        Cost:
        • -50,000 credits for a blueprint from the dojo Bio Lab
        Mods:

        Gazal Machete

Pros: This buddy will revive you or at least attempt to. I feel like it is a hit or miss at times, but it does get the job done. Ideally, this would be a great companion for long missions or even arbitrations. You can put the mod Spare Parts to give an additional drop when it dies. Just make sure you get the Reawaken mod from Cephalon Simaris, or else it won't revive. If you use the Gazal Machete, the damage inflicted via the melee will be reflected in the sentinel. When done effectively, you can dish out a lot of damage.

Cons: Overall I feel like this sentinel fits a very niche gamemode, which is kind of sad. It has really low armor, health, and shield pools when compared to others. I'm not sure if this was intentional, due to it having the ability to revive itself, or not. Don't become discouraged if it dies often.

        Helios

Probably most recognized as the codex completion helper, this sentinel is most useful for codex scanning, showing vulnerable spots of enemies, and not attacking enemies.  As of right now, Helios is one of four sentinel companions to have a prime version.  If you come across enemies who have not been completed in your codex, this little buddy will scan it for you, saving you the time while you should be fighting. Vulnerable spots are only visible once the Detect Vulnerability mod has been placed, helping you to shoot better at the enemies. If you want to go on a stealth mission, this sentinel just follows you around without attacking enemies. Great for the loot pickup!

        Cost:

        • -15,000 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        • -15,000 credits from the dojo Energy Lab
        • -Prime version parts can be traded from trade chat, Warframe.Market, or as a drop reward from relic cracking

        Mods:

Pros: Easy to get early on in game for codex scanning. This really starts to shine when you get your synthesis scanner upgrades from Cephalon Simaris, since it taps into those upgrades. Make sure you practice safe build-flow when building this guy. If you put Targeting Receptor in the first slot, it will attack enemies. Make sure to have enough Codex scanners equipped in your gear wheel (unless you have the synthesis scanner), or else Helios will drain your supply. There is a prime version of this sentinel, giving you the extra boost overall in stats and polarities.

Cons: Will not scan completed codex entries, thus rendering it useless when you have all entries complete. This applies to everything that is capable of being scanned. If it does scan an unfinished entry target, it will not count towards your Cephalon Simaris standing. Late game mod swapping of Investigator to Detect Vulnerability can be pretty useful.

        Oxylus

One of the latest sentinels in the game, this seems to be pretty specific in use.  While it isn't one to go sally-forth into a horde of enemies, it does have some usefulness.  Say hello to your new fishing buddy!  This sentinel was actually the first to come with a universal mod called Assault Mode.  This can actually replace the sentinel specific mods that do the same thing, so either or works.  The Scan Matter mod actually works at twice the distance than any other detector mod.

        Cost:
        • -20,000 rep standing with Solaris United over on Fortuna, Venus (once Old Mate rank has been achieved - acquired from The Business)
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        Mods:

Pros:  You can quickly find hotspots for fishing as well as save your Cetus standing on Luminous Dye.  This sucker can actually replace the Luminous Dye use since it never runs out and it follows you everywhere you go.  Yay for saving on crafting materials!

Cons:  It's a pretty specific sentinel for a single purpose.  There are other companions who would excel at battling enemies, but that isn't to say it can't hold out in a fight.

        Shade

This little companion helps assist you in your stealth missions.  The Revenge mod is probably a wild card when it comes to how you plan to utilize Shade. If you equip Revenge, it will be seen more as an aggressive type of sentinel, while without it, it becomes more of a stealth companion. This is great and honestly probably ideal when it comes to stealth scanning enemies for that Cephalon Simaris reputation.

        Cost:
        • -100,000 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        • -Prisma version can be purchased from Baro Ki'teer when available for 300,000 credits + 500 ducats

        Mods:

Pros: Easy to build for a stealth support companion. Can honestly fit a lot of base survivability mods in it, along with 2 or all 3 companion-specific mods. The Ambush mod is great for a sudden "oops" and you need to take out an enemy quickly. This companion has covered my butt when I didn't realize an enemy was close by while I was checking something else on another screen or having a conversation with someone.

Cons: Doesn't cover you in a larger radius, so don't expect the Ghost mod to activate when enemies are on the other side of the room. The Ghost mod only pops if you are super close to an enemy and they haven't seen you yet, causing the mod to be almost useless. Has a pretty low pool of everything but health for the base model. Not ideal since it isn't a ranged sentinel. I highly recommend getting the Prisma version when Baro has it available.

        Taxon

This is the first sentinel that gets introduced to you in game by default. Great for helping and protecting new players, Taxon can help keep you alive through almost anything. If you equip mostly mods that help assist in keeping you alive, you will reap the rewards. Since the gun that comes with it has an innate cold proc, this works great for combining it with the mod Condition Overload for a melee weapon. When deciding what melee weapon to take, honestly anything that can proc conditions since it stacks. Zaws and Redeemer are some great suggestions for this concept.

        Cost:
        • -5,000 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -is awarded once you have completed the Venus Junction on Earth
        Mods:

Pros: Easy to get in game since it is rewarded after completing the Venus junction. Fast and easy for building a protection type build, with better mods rewarded a little later in game. I use Synth Deconstruct and Synth Fiber on my Taxon to get a better companion as well as combining it with my Zaw or my Redeemer.

Cons: Can be easily outdone by other sentinels for late game missions. Having only two sentinel specific mods, with one being an attack mod, this little buddy starts to lose out on multipurpose type mission use.

        Wyrm

This sentinel is great at crowd control as well as protecting your warframe.  This is one of four sentinels that have a prime version, which is acquired from relics or trade for parts.  Just like Taxon, the Wyrm can keep you alive pretty much through anything, as long as it is built accordingly.  Unlike a few other sentinels, the Wyrm and the laser rifle don't have any type of condition damage besides the traditional impact, puncture, and slash damage.

        Cost:
        • -100,000 credits for a blueprint from the internal market
        • -75 platinum for fully built + free companion slot + pre-installed Orokin Reactor
        • -Prime version parts can be traded from trade chat, Warframe.Market, or as a drop reward from relic cracking
        Mods:

Pros: Easy to obtain and build, both base and prime versions.  Great to use for late game in place of Taxon.  The Crowd Dispersion and Negate mods are what makes this sentinel better than Taxon, although you can switch out the laser rifle with Artax for that sweet cold proc.

Cons: Can take a bit of time to get the Negate mod if you haven't spent your Cephalon Simaris rep wisely.  You really don't see how useful this sentinel is until you have forma'd it a few times.  This is one of those slow and steady building for a better companion in the end.

        Moas

Moas were introduced with the Fortuna introduction in late 2018.  These guys are a DIY when it comes to crafting one!  MOAs combine positives and negatives of the furry companions and the floating sentinels, thus they can use some mods from both factions.  Currently, there are 3 types of MOAs that you can build, all depending on what strikes your fancy: Lambeo, Oloro, and Para.  There are four parts to each MOA, all with varying stats.  Once you put it together, you level it once to level 30, guild it like any other modular item in game (kitgun and zaw), then re-level it for better stats.  You can also name them!  Each model comes with 2 precept mods, in which all can be used interchangeably with other MOAs.  PLEASE NOTE that you can only use 2, no matter what.  Not 3 or more.  In this section, I'm going to discuss the main model of the MOA, aka what makes the MOA get what default mods.

        Lambeo

This model MOA is known as a defensive type.  With the mods Stasis Field and Shockwave actuators, this thing can help you control the battlefield when enemies get to be too close or too much.  If you plan on doing survival missions or disruption missions, this MOA will shine.  Just make sure to remember that it can go down and be revived, like any furry companion or fellow Tenno player.

        Cost:
        • -Solaris United standing (varies on what parts you want for the build in total)
        • -Legs has daily specials in which you can purchase a fully built model for platinum
        Mods:

Pros: Easy to build and then guild. Pretty decent in duration of mods and how often they get utilized. Super great in missions that deal with infinite enemies swarming around you.

Cons: Can be a bit of a hassle when dealing with higher level missions until it gets forma'd a few times.  The reason I say this is because you need to dump a few forma's in order to make this high sustainability, especially for a defensive type MOA.  There are times where it feels like the mods are not activating when they should, so keep that in mind.

        Oloro

This model of MOA is greatly known for it's security hacking abilities.  Super useful if you are not an expert console hacker, let alone the occasional alarm resetting when you were spotted by the enemies.  Can be brought on almost any mission just for the console hacking ability, but can also dish out some damage as well as holding it's own for a bit.

        Cost:
        • -Solaris United standing (varies on what parts you want for the build in total)
        • -Legs has daily specials in which you can purchase a fully built model for platinum

        Mods:

Pros: Pretty much self aware of what it's abilities are without needing much direction.  As long as you are near a console that needs reset or hacked, this MOA will do what needs done.  Great for spy mission sorties as well as other high level missions.

Cons: Can have a follow/teleport issue when you are moving too fast on the map.  It can get "stuck" in which it will not always be right behind you when you need it for a console hack.  If you are really depending on it for the hacking, keep an eye on it while traversing the map.

        Para

This model of MOA is great for offensive use.  If built well, it can do some serious damage to enemies like a tanky Kubrow or Kavat.  Can be a slow process to get it up to this type of level, but the same goes for Kubrows and Kavats.  Make sure to equip an appropriate weapon that goes with what you are needing.  I highly recommend the weapons for MOAs that are sold by Legs on Fortuna.

        Cost:
        • -Solaris United standing (varies on what parts you want for the build in total)
        • -Legs has daily specials in which you can purchase a fully built model for platinum

        Mods:

Pros: Great crowd control mods help make this MOA a viable companion when battling enemies.  Easy to build without much worry of doing it "wrong" when picking parts.  Once you forma it a few times, it has amazing survivability along with the power.

Cons: Can seem like it will never be good enough.  Until you have dumped a few formas into it, it will seem like it's more of MR fodder than anything.  Don't give up, keep at it.
