Getting Your Railjack

In order to start any of this, you need to have the Dry Dock built in your dojo.  Now, this isn't something small by any stretch of the imagination.  In fact, there have been many dojos torn down and redone just to accommodate the sheer space this sucker needs.  In general, it cannot have anything built below or above or to the sides for a good space.  The current reference is 3 to 4 elevators, depending if anything above or below - or any amount of hallways that get it out far enough.

Next up is the amount of resources needed for the Dry Dock (
Ghost | Shadow | Storm | Mountain | Moon):

  • -Credits: 100,000   300,000   1,000,000   3,000,000   10,000,000
  • -Salvage:  25,000   75,000   250,000   750,000   2,500,000
  • -Circuits:  850   2,550   8,500   25,500   85,000
  • -Tellurium:  15   45   150   450   1,500
  • -Forma:  1   1   2   5   15
Once you have all the resources collected, it's time to build the Dry Dock!

First Steps to Owning Your Railjack

Great!  You completed the Dry Dock and it's huge, isn't it?  In that large room, there is a console you can access.  This console allows the clan to research something called Railjack Cephalon, in which once completed, each member can acquire their own blueprint to build in their foundry.

As you can see, 3 of the 4 components needed to build this are easily found as rewards for Invasions.  If that isn't your cup of tea, you can always convert the lesser forms into these.  Whichever way you prefer, once it's done, the real fun starts.

Great, so you've gotten this far.  Next phase is the long...tedious....wait.... .  But don't fret, we got this!  In case the quest didn't auto-start for you, visit your Codex on your orbiter.  You will need to activate the Rising Tide quest in order to progress any further.  Once activated, you will be instructed to visit the Dry Dock and insert Cephalon Cy into a console.  Go do that.  Once that is done, you will be given a series of quests, each giving a reward to complete 1 of the 6 sections of your Railjack.  Concept of this goes as:  Go do quest, get item, go insert into Railjack in the Dry Dock, wait for 12 hours.  Rinse and repeat.  Just make sure you have all the resources needed to complete each section, or you will be out there grinding to get them.  Hell, you can even go farm the ones you still need while you are building a previous section.  Especially Argon crystals.

Below is the breakdown for each section repair and what resources are needed:

A few details in case you are like woah...what do I do now:

In order to customize it, you can access the panel next to the original control panel that started all of this (where you got the Railjack Cephalon).

If you want to climb aboard now, you can easily run down to one of the ramps that lead directly to the Railjack.  Interact with it and boom, you're onboard.  There are a few things you can interact with post Rising Tide quest, but nothing is a deal breaker.  You can also access your Railjack via your orbiter.
