Overall Drizzlewood Coast - Southern Territories
Blue is safe and Umbral Grotto is the main safe territory |
This is an entire map that focuses on assault with some REALLY good loot as rewards. You start out at Umbral Grotto, the only area that we are in control of. The concept of this entire meta is to slowly branch out from there by assaulting nearby enemy territories, taking them for our own. The territory creep doesn't happen until we are at full morale on the previous territory.
The overall process is that a Pack Bull leaves the previous territory and leads an assault on the next territory. You need to break the gate (rams are available here) and then clear out the enemies. There will be a bar that states the progress of breaking the enemy morale. Once this is done, you will need to stand in an control point to lay claim, while fighting a veteran or champion.
You're almost there! Next up is where you need to participate in events in that territory, keeping the enemies defeated and keeping the troop morale high. Once the troop morale hits 100%, a Pack Bull will leave from that territory and head toward the next territory. This cycle continues on until the map is complete.
What kind of loot drops here? Mostly all crafting materials, ranging from ones that you probably never use to those delicious T5 and T6 mats. Just stay active and do all the things that you possibly can. The rewards are worth it.
NOTE: Please scroll to the end of this post to see things that you can do besides the assaulting territory activities.

Things to Pay Attention To
There is a LOT to do in this map. When you're busy fighting the Dominion, you will notice that there are several new things. For instance, you might notice a laser beam targeting you but you can't seem to figure out what it is or where it's coming from. There are enemy long range snipers hiding EVERYWHERE. They can and will ruin your day if you're not careful.
You might have noticed the new icons on the map: . This is a Wreckage, in which you obtain Charr Salvage materials. If you consume them, you get 1 of the 2 map currencies - War Supplies. These War Supplies are what fixes gates, barricades, turrets, etc. Think of Drizzlewood Coast as an evolved version of The Silverwastes and a PvE version of World vs World. You need to fix and keep things under control in the territories you own, while laying an attack on the enemy territories.

If left alone for too long, the morale of the territory will drop and you will have to lay an attack on it again just to regain and advance forward. Luckily, if the map succeeds in conquering the entire area (Breakroot Basin does not count), you get to loot a LOT of chests! These chests give you crafting materials, so get to it!
4 pretty chests |
There are a total of 10 champions once the map has been completed. Each champion has 3 chests to loot behind closed doors. This means there are a total of 30 chests to loot if you can hit all 10 champions before the timer is up. Most of the items from these chests as well as the the Conquest Supply Drop chests are crafting materials, so stock up!
